VROTRACK is a GPS vehicle- and trailer-tracking subscription service ("VROTRACK," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By creating an account or using our service, you agree to this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

• Account details: your name, email address, and mobile phone number.
• Device details: the tracker's IMEI and SIM card number (ICCID), and a device nickname you choose (e.g. "Work Truck").
• Payment information: processed securely by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store your full card number on our systems.
• Support communications you send us.

Information collected automatically

• Location & telemetry data from your tracker device: GPS coordinates, speed, movement, battery level, and related sensor/alert events.
• Usage & technical data such as IP address, browser type, and log data when you use the app.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide the tracking service — showing your device's live location and history.
• To send you security and status alerts (theft, movement, tamper, geofence, low battery, offline) by email and, if you opt in, SMS text message.
• To activate and manage your device's cellular SIM.
• To process your subscription payments and manage your account.
• To provide customer support and send service-related notices.
• To maintain security, prevent fraud, and comply with law.

3. SMS / Text Message Alerts

If you provide your mobile number and opt in, we send automated security alert text messages about your device (for example, "your vehicle is moving").

• Consent: you opt in by entering your mobile number for alerts during registration. Consent to receive alert texts is not a condition of purchase of any other service.
• Message frequency varies based on your device's activity and alert settings.
• Opt out at any time by replying STOP to a message; reply HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply.
• Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging opt-in data is used only to deliver the alerts you requested.

4. How We Share Information

We share information only with service providers who help us operate VROTRACK, and only as needed:

• Stripe — payment processing.
• Hologram — cellular SIM connectivity for your device.
• Brevo — sending alert and account emails.
• Twilio — sending alert text messages (if you opt in).
• Legal — when required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights and safety.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Location Data

Because VROTRACK is a location-tracking service, precise location data is central to what we do. We collect and store your device's location so you can view its live position and history. You can stop collection at any time by powering off or removing the device, or by canceling your service.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Location history is retained according to your plan. You may request deletion of your account and associated data (see "Your Rights"). Some records may be retained as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

7. Security

We use administrative and technical safeguards — including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data.

8. Your Rights & Choices

• Access or correct your account information in the app.
• Delete your account and data by contacting us.
• Opt out of SMS alerts (reply STOP) or unsubscribe from non-essential emails.

9. Children's Privacy

VROTRACK is not directed to children and is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date.
